They are consistently coloured and absolutely opaque, and after application the varnish cover coat can be peeled off to leave the thinnest covering possible over which to apply your new numbering, lettering or logos.
As well as the more obvious uses such as covering up loco or coach numbers, they can also be used as backgrounds for adverts, body colour for two tone vans & lorries, curtains for house or carriage windows, custom striping for racing cars, name boards for shops, and hundreds of other uses we haven’t thought of, but you might!
The colours are matched to BACHMANN models, but 6801 was matched to HORNBY 'Merchant Navy' and 'A4' Classes, and 6805a was matched to HORNBY Pullman Cars. Most colours should be interchangeable between both makes, but 6803 Southern Region can only be used on BACHMANN models, as the HORNBY green is much darker.
